You:

You are a proven leader in the outdoor adventure travel industry. You’ve been a guide or trip leader for a lot of your career. You know what it’s like to be in the field & run multi-day trips. You’ve also been in a leadership role, managing guides & outdoor professionals – after all this ain’t your first rodeo!
You are also a highly skilled photographer. You “speak” Sony, Canon & Nikon. You understand Mirrorless vs DSLR. You own & regularly use the best equipment already (i.e you KNOW your stuff!).

You can teach landscape & wildlife photography not only to our clients but also develop the skills of our team of professional photography trip leaders. Aperture, Shutter Speed, Depth of Field, Composition, Exposure – no problem.

You’re detail oriented, organized, and great at juggling timelines, schedules, people & resources.

You are a master at leading a team, delegating, holding people accountable & you can easily juggle the day-to-day logistics of a busy operation. Guide schedules, vehicles, last minute schedule changes – no problem. You are a master of putting out fires & keeping the trains running on time.

You’re also a forward thinking action taker and continuously learning, improving and refining your skills is a part of who you are.
You love the outdoor industry but you’ve moved on from the “guide life” or just want more time at home. At the same time you are ready & able to travel and go into the field & cover last minute needs if necessary.

If the above description doesn’t match you EXACTLY this is not the position for you!

However…if that is YOU and if you’re driven to work at a high-level, exciting company sending people across the world on photography adventures….read on!

The Job:

This position is responsible for a critical piece of our company operations, you’re the conductor, the driver, the train-master. It’s your job to make sure the ship sails smoothly! Your responsible for running & managing our field department. You are the manager of our photo guides, the mover of resources & the one who keeps the engine humming along. It is challenging, rewarding & fun.

As a remote team we need someone who’s adaptable and able to work independently most of the time. At the end of the day – it’s largely an office job but you’ll still be out in the field occasionally. It requires real leadership skills. Can you effectively manage a team of outdoor photography guides? Can you locate & hire excellent guides for our team? Can you evaluate team performance & remove underperformers when necessary? Can you develop our program & team to be it’s absolute best.

The schedule can be hectic. There will be evening & weekend calls. There will be last minute fires to put out & problems to solve. You will have to cover last minute photo trips when guides aren’t able to make their trip and head into the field for a week or more sometimes.
But at the end of the day – it’s awesome.
