The Job: This position is responsible for supporting our Founder/CEO. It’s your job to manage communications, schedule meetings, travel & handle last minute fires. Everything from handling personal snail mail, running errands, paying bills, occasionally transporting company vehicles & odd jobs. This is a supportive role responsible for handling the day-to-day administrative & personal tasks so that our Founder/CEO can focus on the big picture.
As a remote team we need someone who’s adaptable and able to work independently.
Can you manage & write responses to a busy email inbox? Can you ensure the Founder/CEO’s schedule is up-to-date & managed in real-time both professionally & personally? Can you handle a variety of odd jobs on a weekly basis?
The schedule is 6am to 2pm Alaska Time, Monday through Friday. We are flexible with time-off however there will be evening & weekend field-line shifts occasionally & you are always on-call whenever the Founder is traveling. There always will be last minute fires to put out & problems to solve!
But at the end of the day – it’s a super fun & rewarding position & you get to work mostly from home.

Core Responsibilities
Calendar and Schedule Management: Effectively manage the founder’s calendar, including scheduling and prioritizing appointments, meetings, and events. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal use of the founder’s time.
Travel Arrangements: Handle all aspects of travel planning, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and itineraries. Ensure all travel arrangements align with the founder’s preferences and business requirements.
Communication and Correspondence: Serve as the primary point of contact for the executive, managing phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication. Screen and prioritize incoming messages, respond on behalf of the executive when necessary.
Document Preparation and Management: Create, edit, and proofread documents, presentations, and reports on behalf of the executive. Maintain document repositories, ensure version control, and manage confidential information with discretion.
Gear & Logistical Support: Occasionally transport tour vans around Alaska as well as clean, organize & pack photo trip camping gear when needed.
Personal Assistance: Provide personal support to the founder as required, such as managing personal appointments, handling personal correspondence and making appointments as needed.
Skills
2+ years experience in a related role
Bachelors Degree Required
Self-starting attitude, ability to manage your own time and start projects and take initiative
Proven problem solver - ability to think ahead and juggle lots of projects without dropping the ball
The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously — you get things done, meet deadlines and keep promises
Insane attention to detail and high standards of organizational quality
Positive, flexible, solution oriented, and excited to work with a diverse team
Mature, coachable, and happy doing high-level projects as well as mundane design tasks (there will be a mix of both!)
Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) — you have a knack for offering constructive feedback, effective delegation, and ensuring everyone on your team is on the same page
